Here is what previous participants have said about our study days:

“Brilliant day, has really opened my eyes. Thank you! Loved all the interaction.”

“What an amazing day! Great demonstration, thank you for all the helpful advice and information. It should come in handy for my interviews.”

“What a fabulous day! This day has cemented for me that midwifery is definitely for me. Fantastic advice, demonstrations and interaction with everyone.”

“Great speaking to other students and meeting people with the same aspirations. I loved the informal approach. Thoroughly enjoyed everything.”

“Brilliant day to start thinking about the role of a midwife in terms of woman-centred care. Also loved the food!”

“Loved the breadth of topics and freedom to discuss….really appreciated placenta demonstration. Found “ask the student” session valuable.”

“A great day with lovely women. Lots of information and well presented.”

“I attended one of your ‘So you wanna be a midwife’ study days and came out with you for a day last year. You took me for a look around the unit at York hospital and on a few home visits. Since then I have been working hard doing an access course and working full time. But I’m over the moon to say I have just had a last minute offer to study Midwifery at York University. So I just wanted to say thank you again, I was totally inspired by the day I spend with you and it gave me the determination to plough through this last year.”

Making the Move -  for people considering becoming independent midwives, open to student midwives or qualified midwives – we are not currently running this, but our colleagues at White Rose Midwives may be able to help you
